Nirmal Gram Puraskar
The Nirmal Gram Puraskar is an award given by the Government of India to gram panchayats that construct toilets in every household and completely eliminate open defecation. It is also known as the 'Clean Village Award'. It is an incentive scheme implemented by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj to ensure complete cleanliness in rural areas including local self-government bodies in Kerala. Meenadam Gram Panchayat has won the Nirmal Gram Puraskar.
